Are vampyre tasks worth it in OSRs? ›

These tasks are convenient due to the low focus required, great and consistent drops, formidable Slayer experience per hour, and convenience to the player.

In addition, some monsters killed as part of a slayer assignment either have improved drop rates for specific item(s) and access to drop(s) that are otherwise unobtainable if killed off-task.

Although Soul Reaper is a Slayer D&D, the usual bonuses from the slayer helmet do not work on Soul Reaper tasks, unless the player has a regular slayer assignment for the same monster.

Does cancelling Slayer task reset streak? ›

Cancelling a task to receive an easier one will reset the player's current completion streak to 0; However, completion streak will remain the same after accepting and completing a new task from these masters, as long as the previous task was completed and not cancelled.

Tasks that the player does not wish to ever do can be permanently blocked at the cost of 100 reward points. Up to seven assigned monsters (or monster groups) can be blocked. To block an assignment, 50 quest points are required per slot, totaling up to 300 quest points for six slots.

There is an additional 10% chance of a superior slayer monster appearing for Wilderness Slayer tasks. They can be encountered after purchasing the unlock Bigger and Badder for 150 Slayer reward points from any Slayer master, and will only occur while on a Slayer task.

Boosts do not allow players to acquire tasks that require a Slayer level above their base unboosted level.

Mining is one of the most popular Skills in the Game, and for a good reason. When leveled high enough it can be used for making a lot of Gold. The most profitable, but also very Skill-demanding Ore to mine is the Runite Ore.

At high levels, Slayer is a very profitable skill to train, as high levelled Slayer monsters, such as Slayer bosses have a multitude of both rare and valuable drops. Completing a task also rewards a player with Slayer points, which can be exchanged for various rewards and benefits at a Slayer master.

The average wyrm kill, including wyrm bones and its unique drops, is worth either 4,731.00 when you are not on a wyrm Slayer task, or 5,663.00 when you are on a wyrm Slayer task. The average Wyrm kill while on a Konar task is worth 6,797.00.
