Blake Varbero now leads the national sales efforts for Turtle's Integrated Supply unit that provides MRO products distribution and services.

Turtle & Hughes Integrated Supply (THIS), a division of electrical distributor Turtle & Hughes, announced March 2 it has promoted Blake Varbero to Vice President of Business Development. Varbero has been with THIS — which provides MRO services to Fortune 100 companies — for 13 years, according to a news release. Turtle & Hughes ranked No. 16 on MDM’s .
“Blake is a great example of our attention to developing and promoting talent from within the organization,” Turtle & Hughes CEO Kathleen Shanahan said in the release. “We hire the best people who share in our common core values. We provide them with the tools and resources they need to develop and advance in their roles and become life-long Turtles.”
Varbero joined THIS in 2010 as an inside sales representative. He has since served in roles including National Accounts Manager, Director of National Accounts, and Sales Director. As Vice President of Business Development, Varbero is responsible for leading the division’s national sales efforts, according to the release.
“Over the years, Blake has worked in several areas across THIS, including Operations, Account Management and Business Development,” THIS Divisional President Scott West said in the release. “When presented with an opportunity to lead, he has consistently risen to the challenge.”
Varbero earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Connecticut.
