One happy customer - Sarah S
I was recently on a multi-state, 5,000 mile, 6-week road trip. It was a mix of seeing family and lots of adventure. Honestly, a dream come true. After visiting family in New Mexico, I was headed to a wedding in Florida. Florida was my last stop before heading back home to Virginia. After 8 hours of driving through basically nothing in New Mexico and Texas, a check engine light came on as I was driving into Fort Worth, TX. Most likely my transmission was about to fail!I was able to drive to a mechanic but wasn’t going to miss the wedding or any part of my vacation. I rented a car with plans to return to Texas. Not ideal but doable if that's what I needed to do. My hope was that my car was worth fixing. More adventure, right? After it was inspected I decide my car was not worth fixing. I could go back to Texas but then what? I was still able to drive my car but I didn't feel confident I'd make it much farther. After coming up with a few bad ideas, I called my cousin Jeremy at Schulte Subaru. I knew he could save the day. While we were working on a plan, I decided to just drive home from Virginia and I'd figure it out from there. When I say Jeremy and Ryan saved the day, I'm not joking. They worked with me to find something safe and within my tight budget. They arranged to have my Outback delivered to me in Virginia. And they picked up my car in Texas.Samantha Whaley

Subaru Generosity - Stephanie J
On behalf of the entire Hawthorne community, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to Schulte Subaru for your incredibly generous donation of coats, shoes, and socks for our students. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have touched us deeply, and we cannot express enough how much your contribution means to us. Your donation will make a significant difference in the lives of our students, especially during these colder months. With the coats, shoes, and socks you've provided, our students will be better equipped to face the challenges of winter weather with comfort and warmth. Your gift not only provides essential items but also send a powerful message of generosity and support to our school community. It is heartwarming to see individuals like you who are willing to reach out and make a positive impact on the lives of others. Your generosity serves as an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the importance of compassion and community.Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity. We are truly grateful for your support and for being a beacon of hope for our students. Stephanie Jones Principal Hawthorne Elementary
Jeremy and Carter saved the day! - Sarah S
I am going to preface this by saying I have never submitted a Subaru Love Promise nomination but I believe that Jeremy and Carter Griffith from Schulte Subaru should be nominated. We live in Sioux Falls South Dakota, which many are unaware of where that even is and tend to think we live in teepees with no electricity still. However, we are smack dab in the middle of the country and due to that we get some wicked winters. This winter I feel like Jeremy and Carter went above and beyond. Jeremy is a member of a Facebook group that is called “Pay it Forward”. This group is often filled with members of Sioux Falls donating food, asking for food, asking for help with bills etc. Jeremy stumbled across a request on this page from a lady who had mentioned she had a flat tire and was unable to get the spare on as she did not know how to. Remember this is January and it is -6 with winds blowing at 30 mph. NO ONE wants to be outside changing a tire. These two responded to the post in minutes that they worked for a dealership, and were more than willing to come help her for no charge. They got the young ladies' information and headed out. The part of the story I did not mention above was that this was at 7 A.M. on a Saturday morning when most of us like to be in bed sleeping in. Not only were these two not at work yet but it was a weekend. They met, located the spare and attempted to switch the tire. As we all know, this never goes smoothly especially in the cold weather when you are trying to do a kind deed. The lug nuts on this ladies tire were over tightened and therefore the tire would not come off with the normal jack. Instead of telling her sorry, you are going to have to have it towed, Jeremy and Carter headed back to the dealership and got the necessary tools to get the tire off. At this point, they get the spare on and look at the tire they just took off. They determine that the tire cannot be fixed and the customer will need a new one. This young lady then shares her story with Jeremy and Carter that is filled with a rough road. It is not our story to tell but she comes from a past filled with overcoming drug addiction, homelessness and fought her way back to getting on her feet but the tire would just be too expensive. Jeremy and Carter took note of the size and brand of tire and expedited a replacement tire to be delivered that Monday morning. Monday morning rolled around and once again, Jeremy and Carter had the appointment set up with service, so each person she could have encountered was aware of the situation, knew that she would not be paying for the tire. When she arrived, each advisor knew her name to properly greet her, checked her in promptly and the tech had the tire by his bay to mount it as soon as the vehicle was pulled in.The best part of this story, Jeremy had prepaid for the tire so there was no way the customer, the store, store owner or any other person who knew about it could step in and cover the repairs. He paid out of his OWN POCKET for this unknown ladies repair on a non Subaru vehicle. In my mind, this is truly going above and beyond what is asked of Subaru Employees. Jeremy and Carter stumbled upon an unfortunate predicament (young lady trying to get back on her feet with a flat tire and no money), went above what most would do (went themselves to change the tire instead of just advising to have the vehicle towed in) and then paid for it out of their own pockets. This was all done with no benefit to them but with love for helping their community and those in need. Not because it was something they had to do but because they felt it was the right thing to do. We applaud you Jeremy and Carter. Thank you!Jen KolbSchulte Subaru
