How to Make Creamy Mac ‘n Cheese in a Slow Cooker

This Creamy Crock Pot Mac ‘n Cheese is creamy (obviously), flavorful and has just a hint of sweet.
When I sat this before Michael and he took his first bites, it was almost comical. We all know that my husband loves his food. So when he eats something that is REALLY good, he gets REALLY excited. This dish just so happened to be one of “those” recipes.
It went a little something like this, “Oh my goodness! This is SOOOOO good! Have you tried this yet?! This is seriously the best mac ‘n cheese I have ever had! This taste better than gourmet mac ‘n cheese!” etc. 🙂 (It is so cute…and funny…when he gets this excited about food. He is seriously like a little kid on Christmas morning.)
Something else that should be noted about this recipe. It called for shredded pasteurized processed cheese spread . I didn’t know they sold it shredded. I thought they meant to shred theblock. I was skeptical, but thought I would try…umm, yea. Have you ever tried to shred a block of Velveeta (or Kroger’s Nice ‘n Cheesy in this house)? It ain’t happenin’ folks!
Later, I was talking to Cris and told her I had to alter the recipe because I had no idea how anyone could shred Velveeta. She had a good laugh as she explained I wasn’t supposed to shred a block, I was supposed to buy it already done. Ah well! It turned out wonderful anyway!

- You can use any 4 quart slow cooker to make this dish or place an oven safe dish inside your 6 quart slow cooker for best results.

Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni cooked
- 2 T oil
- 12 oz can of evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 c milk
- 3 3/4 c pasteurized processed cheese spread cubed
- 1/2 c melted butter
- Optional: 1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese garnish
Instructions
Lightly toss your cooked macaroni in your oil until all the noodles are coated.
Spray your crock pot with cooking spray.
Pour in your macaroni.
Add remaining ingredients to your crock pot and stir.
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. Be sure to stir it every once in awhile.
Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top and serve
